CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Belk is cutting approximately 80 corporate positions, according to Senior Director of Public Relations Jenny Anderson.
Anderson tells WCCB that last week Belk announced a restructuring at their corporate office resulting in the elimination of approximately 80 positions.
Anderson goes on to say:
“These changes will help simplify corporate operations, more efficiently align teams and position Belk to continue to grow our omni business. Supporting our associates is our top priority and Belk is providing a variety of support to those affected by job eliminations, including competitive severance packages and outplacement services. These changes have been difficult but are necessary to provide the best customer experience possible.”
