CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Count Sheryl Crow among the many fans amped up for Lera Lynn’s new album ‘The Avenues. Crow shared her excitement for her fellow Nashville songwriter, reminding Twitter and Facebook followers to pick up Lynn’s new album, which was mixed at Crow’s own private studio and features Lynn’s “mesmerizing, haunting vocals” (Boston Globe) and the “dusky [and] enveloping” lead single “La Di Da” (Wall Street Journal).
One would think if superstar Sheryl Crow gives her stamp of approval, you’re well on your way. That doesn’t stop Lera from working and touring hard to promote her music. She was in Charlotte recently performing at The Evening Muse. I caught up with her and her accompianist Joshua Grange to discuss her music and what it’s like to receive love from such an accomplished music artist.
