CHARLOTTE, NC — The Ebola outbreak has claimed more than 4,000 lives. There are no known or suspeted cases in North Carolina, but state health officials are being proactive about the threat.
“As well prepared as we may be at the end of the day, it is imperative that every member of our community does their part,” said DHHS Secretary Dr. Aldona Wos. “And in order for that to happen, we have to educate everyone.”
The state has set up an Ebola Hotline to answer your questions. The number is 1-800-222-1222. The pone line is staffed by the Carolina Poison Control Center.
