DALLAS, TX — A Texas nurse who is battling the Ebola virus has reportedly received a blood transfusion from an Ebola survivor.  It comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention investigates how Nina Pham contracted the virus.

Pham was part of the team that treated Thomas Eric Duncan who died from Ebola last week.  She wore full protective gear.  She is now in isolation.  Her Dallas apartment is roped off as haz-mat crews work to decontaminate the place.

“We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control, because even a single infection is unacceptable,” said CDC Director Tom Frieden.

The country’s largest nursing association is calling for more training for health workers caring for Ebola patients.
