CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) β NASCAR has fined Brad Keselowski and Tony Stewart for their post-race conduct at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Keselowski was fined $50,000 and Stewart was fined $25,000. Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin were not penalized for their roles in the post-race skirmishes after Saturday night’s race.
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) β Even during Duke’s worst years under David Cutcliffe, the Blue Devils could always count on beating Virginia. Doing it again would help give Duke the early edge for another trip to the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game.Duke has won five of the six meetings since Cutcliffe took over the Blue Devils in 2008.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) β Louisville offensive coordinator Garrick McGee says sophomore quarterback Will Gardner will start in Saturday’s game against North Carolina State. Gardner had started Louisville’s first four games before hurting his knee against Florida International. The injury opened the door for freshman Reggie Bonnafon, who led the Cardinals to wins in two of three successive starts.
