WASHINGTON (AP) β€” Brad Pitt feels comfortable with his 13-year old son Maddox seeing the gruesome WWII flick, “Fury.”

The father of six feels his oldest son can handle the graphic material in the film.

“He’s a World War II buff,” Pitt said Wednesday at the film’s world premiere.

Some have criticized the film’s stark brutality, but Pitt claims when it comes to appropriate viewing, he comes from “another generation.”

“The world is a beautiful place, but it’s also a very violent place. We talk about it afterwards, so I’m not so opposed,” Pitt said.

On the subject of family, Pitt was amused at the notion that he and George Clooney had a pact that they would both get married.

Pitt said that he married longtime love Angelina Jolie “for the right reasons.”
