Mugginess Returns Along with More Afternoon Storms

Waking up to patchy fog across the mountain and river valleys this morning. Feeling a bit more sticky with the chance for more showers and storms across the area today. Scattered storms begin this afternoon as highs reach the low to mid-80s. Cooler into the end of the week, highs won’t get out of the low 80s across Piedmont. Storms will become more numerous with downpours leading to localized flooding. A few storms could produce damaging wind. Storm chances become more widely scattered by the end of the weekend as highs return to the upper 80s – near average for this time of year.
