Heavy Rain and Storms Could Cause Flooding Friday
A flash flood watch is in effect for the mountains and foothills. Heavy rain and storms will lead to localized flooding today. Whether you are under the flash flood watch, or not you need to stay weatherwise for possible flooding. More than 3β of rain has already fallen in some locations across the Piedmont with several more rounds of storms to come through the evening. Overnight the rain will taper off. Clouds remain in place this weekend, with highs reaching the mid-80s Saturday and Sunday. Isolated storm chances each afternoon. Temps will rise back into the upper 80s to lower 90s early next week.
