CMPD detectives say they charged Jonathan Ramsey, 31, for the murder of Billy McKay Jr in the apartment complex fight in north Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say a man was killed in a fight outside an apartment complex in north Charlotte.
Police say Billy McKay, 35, was taken to a local hospital where he died.
Officers responded to Pintail Place and found McKay with life-threatening injuries shortly after 3:40 p.m. on August 22nd, according to a news release.
Investigators say the altercation occurred in the common area of the apartment complex, and McKay and the suspect knew each other prior.
Police say the suspect has not yet been found.
