Fister struck out five and didn’t walk any as he won his fourth consecutive start.
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) β Oregon State teammates Michael Conforto and Ben Wetzler are among five finalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, given to college baseball’s top player. Other finalists announced Thursday are pitcher Aaron Nola of LSU, catcher Max Pentecost of Kennesaw State and pitcher-first baseman A.J. Reed of Kentucky.
