Soggy Days Ahead
A soupy air mass will keep the clouds in place and increase rain and storm chances today. Highs will be cooler than average – only reaching the upper 70s. Showers will be spotty this morning, with rounds of rain and a storm or two possible this afternoon. Patchy fog will be a nuisance overnight with a chance for more showers tomorrow morning. Heavier rain moves in late Thursday into Friday with a disturbance moving inland off the Carolina coast. Although this system will likely remain disorganized it will bring the possibility of flooding to parts of the area. Continuing to watch this system closely, but wouldn’tΒ be surprised if a Flash Flood Watch will need to be issued as 2-3″+ could be possible early on this weekend.
