Wilson’s World: Giving Back with the Fillmore, American Red Cross, and Promising Pages

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was learning more this morning about the ‘We Are All in This Together’ event being held at the Fillmore today and tomorrow to support the American Red Cross, Promising Pages and Second Harvest Food Bank.

James Moss‎ with Fillmore Charlotte, Kelly Cates of Promising Pages and Ashley Collier with ‎American Red Cross Blood Services all joined Wilson to give us more information on the event that is not only a blood drive for the Red Cross but also a book donation drive for Promising Pages and canned food drive for  Second Harvest Food Bank.  All Covid health rules and regulations will be in place for everyone at the event and there will be plenty of parking available.  Face masks will be required.

Today from 11am until 4pm and again tomorrow, October 1st, from 1pm until 6pm at the Fillmore Charlotte area residents can donate blood to the American Red Cross.  Donors will receive a Red Cross t-shirt and a health screening which will include COVID-19 antibody testing.  There will be areas at the event for attendees to drop off books for Promising Pages and canned goods for Second Harvest.
