Street Eats, Outdoor Movies and $1 Parking in Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC — Moira Queen with Charlotte Center City Partners has a rundown on all the fun & safe events happening in Charlotte.

Street Eats – We are participating in the City’s Street Eats program by closing specific blocks of Uptown, and by placing tables in the sidewalks and curb lanes. This allows restaurants to have addition outdoor seating. We are partnering with the new Uptown-focused Intown Delivery Service, to allow restaurants outside of those specific blocks to have food delivered.  

Programming – We are providing outdoor programming in and around the closed blocks. The programming includes small stages for music and fitness classes. We are also planning weekend outdoor movies in our Victoria Yards space at the corner of 7th and Tryon Street. Also, in Victoria Yards, Resident Culture Brewing Company is planning to reopen the outdoor beer garden in the space.

$1 Parking and Ride Transit – We are also pleased to announce partnerships with Bank of America, BB&T, Cousins, Truist and Barings for nearly 6,200 $1 parking spaces in Uptown from Friday at 5:00 P.M. until Sunday at 9:00 P.M. in support of this initiative for Uptown. The decks are:

  • Fifth Third Center for $1 on Saturday and Sunday
  • Seventh Street Station for Free from Friday at 5 pm – Sunday at 9pm
