Cooler and Drier Week
Waking up to a cool and dry start across the region today. Highs will only reach the low 60s this afternoon. Wind for the mountains to start the week with a wind advisory in effect until noon today as gusts could exceed 40 mph. Breezy conditions likely continue tomorrow – even across the piedmont as a second strong cold front moves into the region. With dew points falling into the 20s and 30s, and breezy weather may have issues with higher fire danger, so burning is not recommended at this time. Cooler by mid-week with highs only reaching the upper 50s and overnight lows falling to the 30s. Temps will climb to the upper 60s by Friday with the upper 60s to lower 70s this weekend.
