Blast of Cold Air to Start the Week
Winter Weather Alerts continue through the afternoon as another 1″ of snow will be possible for the higher elevations. Winds are picking up with gusts of 30-40 mph possible throughout the region today. This will reduce visibility for the mountains (blowing snow) and make it bitter cold. It’s feeling like the single digits and teens for the mountains this morning and 20s and 30s across the rest of the region. It won’t feel much better throughout the day. Highs will reach the mid-40s, but with the wind, it will feel like the 30s. Make it a soup day and stay warm! Temps will drop into the 20s tonight, but winds will be dying down. Highs will remain below average tomorrow. Highs will reach the upper 50s a late week. Rain chances return late Thursday into Friday. Cool and sunny for the weekend with highs in the low to mid-50s.
