Bitter Cold Mornings, But Warming Up Slowly

Wind continues to howl across the mountains, making it feel like the single digits. After a freezing start, temps will climb into the low 50s this afternoon. Clear and cold tonight, but dry continues will continue through early Friday. Showers will return Friday with a changeover to snow likely Saturday morning for the higher elevations. This is where we will likely gain a quick dusting to an inch for areas above 3500′ (may see 2″ for highest peaks – good news for skiers and snowboarders out there!) Rain/snow will wrap early Saturday with drier weather returning to ed the weekend. Seasonable for Sunday with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the mid-30s. But, slightly cooler next week with temps falling in the low 50s.
