CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials with Airbnb say they are launching a safety initiative to prevent parties in Charlotte over New Year’s Eve as coronavirus cases continue to rise.
Guests without positive reviews from Airbnb hosts will be unable to make one night reservations on New Year’s Eve, and Airbnb officials will create tighter restrictions on one and two-night reservations, according to a news release.
Officials say this initiative is similar to the one they launched on Halloween that banned all parties at Airbnb locations.
