Chilly Today, but Much Warmer Late Week

Waking up to a freezing start. Wind chills in the single digits in the mountains where winds are gusts up to 40mph. Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 am for areas above 3500′, however not expecting any accumulation of snow, but blowing snow may cause some visibiity issues, and be aware of icy spots. A light breeze out of the NW making it feel up to 10 degrees colder across the Piedmont. Highs will reach the upper 40s to lower 50s today, but it will feel like the mid-40s at best with the wind. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s again. But, warmer weather for the rest of the week. Seasonable highs return tomorrow. The 60s are back in the forecast beginning Thursday. Dry and sunny through Saturday with shower chances picking up late in the weekend.
