CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A candlelight vigil will be held tonight in honor of a Charlotte boy who died during football practice.
10-year-old Omari Chambers collapsed during Pee Wee football practice in northwest Charlotte. According to The Mecklenburg Coroner’s Office, Chambers died from a heart defect.
The vigil will take place tonight at 7:30pm at Marshall Park.
