Classic Winter Pattern Arrives
It's been a wet start to the year, but we'll finally be drying out for much of the week ahead.
2021 has gotten off to a soggy start, as rain has fallen at some point during each of the first three days of the year, but sunshine will return for the first full week of 2021. Despite the increased sunshine, temperatures will take a dip back into near-average territory in the 40s and 50s for much of the week ahead. The return of sunny skies and cooler highs is due to a stable air mass sweeping in from the northwest. Northwesterly flow may lead to a few snow showers in the High Country on Tuesday, but the WCCB Charlotte viewing area should largely remain dry through Thursday. We’re keeping an eye out for another storm system that could arrive on Friday, but for now, enjoy the sorely needed sunshine.
