A Quiet Midweek Ahead with Weekend Storm System

Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10 pm Tuesday for the Mountains.A chilly night ahead as low temperatures bottom out in the upper 20s to low 30s. Expect increasing clouds through Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures near 50Β°. After the quiet midweek pattern, a storm system increases the chance to see wintry precipitation late Thursday evening into Friday. The best chance to see snow will be along and north of I-40 through the first half of the day Friday. As of Tuesday evening, there is a chance for snow as far south as the I-85 corridor, but the chance for accumulation that far south is very low. Winter Storm Watches/Warnings will likely be issued over the next day or two for the Mountains and Foothills.
