
UPDATE: Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms that the body has been identified as Richard Allen Hable.
According to reports, the body found under a Charlotte home has been identified as missing person Richard Hable. Officials say this case is currently being treated as a homicide. No further information has been released at this time.
CHARLOTTE, NC — During a search for a missing person this morning police uncovered bodily remains from under a house in the 7500 block of Bondhaven Road.
Investigators say they cannot positively identify the victim or determine a cause of death, and will be taking the remains to the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office.
CMPD Investigators have been conducting a search for Richard Hable who was reported missing in the 7500 block of Bondhaven Drive back on August 20th. The reporting person said they had not seen Hable since May, and that he was last seen at his residence.
Investigators say they have gathered information leading them to believe foul play was involved with Mr. Hable’s disappearance.
Richard Hable, 47, is described as a white male, brown hair and eyes, 6 feet tall, and around 200lbs.
