Windy Wednesday

A cold front is bringing strong wind across the region. A wind advisory will be in effect for the mountains until 1pm. Gusts 50-60mph will be possible. It will be breezy across the Piedmont with gusts 20-30mph possible. Winds will die down through the afternoon. Temps are warmer this morning, but temps will be slightly cooler today, even with the sunshine.

A chance for a sprinkle Thursday morning, but rain associated with a larger system will likely sweep just south of the region Friday. Temps will remain seasonable, if not slightly above average Saturday and Sunday.

Early next week, rain and showers will make for an unsettled start to the week. At times rain could be heavy and localized flooding could be a concern.
