Delays:
Alexander County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay due to projected hazardous and unsafe road conditions. School officials say they will assess the roads in the morning, and notify staff and students if the school start time changes.
Caldwell County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay. WrapAround will also operate on a two-hour delay.
Remote:
Avery County Schools will operate on a remote learning day. School officials say due to road conditions they will not deliver meals, but curbside meal pickup will be available at Newland Elementary School from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
