CMS Teacher Says 11-Year-Old Student Stole Her Car

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A CMS teacher says an 11-year-old student stole and trashed her car.

According to reports, sixth grade teacher Adrienne Friedrich claims the student took her vehicle and returned it with scratches, dents, and over $1,200 worth of baseball equipment missing from the back seat.

Friedrich says the child stole her car keys and used the unlocking sound to find her car. She reportedly told officials, “It’s devastated our family. The kids are scared for me to go back to work. My son can’t play ball tomorrow, he just got over open heart surgery from last year, so this is a big deal.”

Friedrich’s son, Connor, also spoke out about the incident, saying, “I’ve been feeling good after heart surgery. I knew I was set for the year, then this happened. I was hoping for my first game with my new league.”

Police say they aren’t naming the 11year-old responsible for the incident, but say he has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
