Wintry Mix Possible for Charlotte Saturday Night
It’s a messy start with showers across the region. A winter weather advisory is in effect until noon for the mountains for the potential for a wintry mix. A cold front will clear the area this afternoon. Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s. The setup for the weekend bringing better rain/snow chances to the area. Scattered showers will be possible late Saturday. Overnight we could even see a chance for rain/snow/sleet down into the I-85 corridor. Accumulations are unlikely anywhere south of I-40 but could cause a few slick spots early Sunday. This next disturbance will move out bringing more sunshine to the region. Highs will reach the low 50s early in the week. By mid-week temps will warm to the upper 50s. Watching late week for chillier air and the potential for more wintry weather.
