CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was fatally shot Tuesday evening, sparking an east Charlotte homicide investigation, police say.
Officers responded to Kelston Place, off of Albemarle Road, around 5:30 p.m. after a deadly weapon call for service.
When officers arrived, they located a man with an apparent gunshot wound. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Medic.
Homicide Unit detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. According to detectives, they are speaking with the people involved and are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
