Wet Start to Workweek

Clouds and rain will move in overnight, which could lead to some sleet mixing in early Monday morning north of I-40.

The sunshine has been nice while it lasted, but as we’ve been bitterly reminded multiple times this winter, all good things must come to an end. Mostly clear skies should last until about midnight before clouds and scattered showers arrive overnight. Temperatures should remain above freezing early Monday morning outside of the High Country, but some sleet and freezing rain is a possibility north of I-40, especially if lows dip down at or below 32º. Accumulations should remain minimal. Heavier rain will arrive by the afternoon, before clearing out by Monday evening. The middle portion of the week ahead looks lovely, as sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s take over. Some spots south of the Metro may approach 70º by midweek!
