Edge producer Brandon Refour asked a clinical psychotherapist how we can navigate our own family dynamics. Clinical psychotherapist Jenn Tomko says, “It’s essential, if your belief system does not line up with your family of origin and that’s causing distress for you, then you may have to set boundaries. You may have to set them with a particular person or with that belief system, so you can be the best version of yourself within the family, but maybe distance yourself in that particular way and find your support system.”
