UNION COUNTY, N.C. –  Wilson was in Union County with the Sun Valley High School Navy Junior ROTC who are preparing to head to Hawaii to march in their Pearl Harbor Day Parade.  This is a very big honor for the group as they are the only school in the state of North Carolina to be chosen for this honor.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids, but to make this trip, these 23 kids are going to need the funds for traveling.  They are now working hard to raise those funds and Wilson was there to help them out.  They currently have events going on to raise the money needed for the trip.

Fundraising events will be held at Moe’s in Indian Trail on November 7th from 5pm until 8pm and at Texas Roadhouse in Matthews on November 9th for the entire day.

The cadets performed some of their drills for Wilson and talked with him about why they are part of the impressive group of young adults.
