MATTHEWS, N.C. –  The weather has been teasing us some great days, but we know that soon those spring temps will finally be here and summer will be right behind.  But we aren’t the only ones looking forward to getting outside, so are our dogs.  Wilson was at Pressly Animal Hospital in Matthews getting tips for keeping our summer sidekick happy and healthy.

Vaccinations, microchipping, flea and heartworm prevention are all part of preparing your dog for a long healthy summer.   Pressly offers all  veterinarian medicine services including surgery, rehab and dental, as well as acupuncture and Chinese herb medicine.   More information on veterinary acupuncture can be found at the International Veterinarian Acupuncture Society website www.ivas.org

Wilson found out more about the partnership with Pressly Animal Hospital and the Humane Society of Charlotte and their upcoming Pet Palooza and their Safety Net program.  The program is to help families and their pets remain together.  For more information on the program as well as next month’s  Pet Palooza contact the Humane Society of Charlotte.

Don’t forget….be sure to microchip your pet!
