Coming Soon: Trolley Barn Fermentory & Food Hall in South End

Expect unique beers, cocktails and a diverse dining experience.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — Unique beers and exploratory cocktail recipes aren’t the only experimental elements on tap at Trolley Barn Fermentory & Food Hall. The soon-to-open venue will host not only one food menu concept like a traditional restaurant, but multiple, offering guests a dynamic and diverse dining experience via three food stations each offering their own distinct cuisine.

While menus are still being finalized, here’s what Trolley Barn guests can expect.

Green Works – salads and grain bowls
Daily Shift Food Co – handheld favorites (sandwiches, tacos, wings)
Brand & Steel – Innovative cuisine and wood-grilled meats and fish with unique house made toppings

Guests will be able to order food from any of the three Trolley Barn food stations at their tables or from seats at the bar.

“The food program at Trolley Barn is an extension of what we’re doing throughout the venue; it’s all about experimentation,” says Chef Gene Briggs, an award-winning chef who also oversees the food program at Legion Brewing and Trolley Barn. “We want to serve dishes you can’t get anywhere else in Charlotte, all of which will complement the fresh-brewed beer and cocktails offered behind the bar.”

Encompassing 9,500 square feet of space adjacent to the Rail Trail in Atherton Mill, Trolley Barn Fermentory & Food Hall will house a brewery, taproom and multiple food options — each offering their own distinct fare from award-winning Chef Gene Briggs. The space features indoor and outdoor seating as well as a second-floor mezzanine and patio with views of the Charlotte skyline.

While the minds behind Legion Brewing created Trolley Barn, once open, guests can expect a different experience from what they’re accustomed to at Legion’s Plaza Midwood, South Park or upcoming Morehead locations.

Trolley Barn’s opening date and other details are still to come.
