Carolina Thread Trail Holds Outdoor Festival On June 5th
MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. — In honor of National Trails Day, Carolina Thread Trail is holding a free, community festival at Tuckaseege Park and Catawba Riverfront Greenway in Mount Holly, N.C. on June 5th.
Event officials say the family-friendly festival, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., features outdoor small group activities including guided nature walks, free kayak rentals, bike rentals and greenway tours, yoga classes, and a farmers and artists’ market.
Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs to the festival sponsored by Duke Energy.
Officials say Jeremey Davis of Elonzo Wesley, David Childers and The Mike Strauss Band will perform during the event, and Maki Taco and Will’s On A Roll food trucks, King of Pops and Blue Blaze Brewing Co. will be on-site selling food and beverages.
Event officials say volunteers will gather before the festival from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to remove invasive plants along the greenway for a service project.
