Lincecum struck out six and walked one as the Giants blanked San Diego 4-0. The only blemish was a second-inning walk by Chase Headley.
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Vanderbilt has won its first national championship in baseball. John Norwood belted a tiebreaking, solo homer in the eighth inning to lift the Commodores past Virginia 3-2 in the third and deciding game of the College World Series. It was Norwood’s first homer since April 19, and Vanderbilt’s first since May 16.

LONDON (AP) — Top seed Novak Djokovic (NOH’-vak JOH’-kuh-vich) has advanced to the third round at Wimbledon with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 win over Radek Stepanek. Defending champion and Andy Murray has won his second-round match, but No. 7 David Ferrer was ousted in Round 2. Australian Open champion Li Na (lee nah) and fourth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska (ahg-nee-ESH’-kuh rahd-VAHN’-skuh) won their second-round matches as well, while No. 8 Victoria Azarenka (ah-zah-REN’-kuh) lost hers.
UNDATED (AP) — The Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks have worked out a trade on the eve of the NBA draft. The Mavericks send guards Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin and center Samuel Dalembert (DAL’-ehm-behr) to the Knicks for center Tyson Chandler and point guard Raymond Felton. The Knicks also receive guard Wayne Ellington and the Mavs’ two second-round picks in Thursday night’s draft.
