An elegant and historic Myers Park residence decorated by 16 of Charlotte‘s finest interior designers, florists, landscape designers and home décor retailers will open for public tours Nov. 14-16. The showhouse Gift Shop will feature 20 local vendors and be open during the tour. All proceeds from the Nov. 14-16 public tour and gift shop sales will directly fund grants to local nonprofits and programs that positively impact the health of the community.Tickets are $20, and are available at all BLACKLION locations, online at MMAEonline.com, or at the door during tour hours. The 2014 Holiday House is the residence of Drs. Sidney and Amy Fletcher and their family. It was built in 1926 and is on the National Registry of Historic Houses. Prior to the Fletchers, owners have included several Charlotte families, as well as Old Dominion Beverage Company (1943) and Queens College (1962). The home was a Queens dormitory before becoming the President‘s home in 1967. The late Dr. Billy Wireman, Queens president, and his wife, Katie, lived at this address.
