Edge On The Clock: White Chicks 2, Royal Cake Auctioned Off, Vaccinated Dates

Marlon Wayans says the world is writing the sequel to the 2004 box office hit, White Chicks

The public may get a sequel to the film White Chicks. Star of the film Marlon Wayans tells Variety, “I think we’ve tightened up so much that we need to loosen our ties for a bit and laugh a little bit. I don’t think Hollywood understands the juggernaut White Chicks 2 would be and the world just keeps giving us more ideas. White Chicks 2 is writing itself.”

Plus, a slice of cake from Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s 1981 wedding just sold for over $2500 USD at an auction ($2,565). The slice comes from one of the 23 official cakes made for the royal wedding. It was originally given to a woman who worked for Queen Elizabeth, who wrapped the slice in plastic and stored it in a cake tin.

And getting your vaccine has become a badge of honor on several online dating apps. During the pandemic lockdowns and quarantines made it harder to meet in person and some sites even created video functions for socially distanced dates and now according to Match.com, 56% of its users are concerned with a date’s vaccine status and 46% say that once they are vaccinated, they’re ready to date again.
