Popular Charlotte Pastor & Community Activist Dies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Pastor Brenda Stevenson of the New Outreach Christian Center has died. She was known for her dedication to helping the poor through her charity work as well as being a beloved local pastor.

CMPD Police Chief Johnny Jennings, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, and many others shared their condolences online for the woman who impacted the Charlotte community greatly.
