Police in Wilmington arrested James Yokeley earlier this month, after he told them he found pills in ice cream he bought at a Dairy Queen for his two granddaughters. Investigators say it was Yokeley himself who put the pills in the ice cream.
Gastonia Police say three people were hurt when a driver crashed through the front window of a Dollar Tree store on West Franklin Boulevard on Thursday.
Investigators say 20-year-old Benny Hall fired multiple shots "toward the direction" of officers, who fired back. Hall was hit, and taken to the hospital.
