Tropical Storm Imelda has officially formed. The latest data points to fewer impacts locally as the storm stays offshore. 

Scattered showers tonight will lead to a much drier Sunday. By Monday, all eyes turn to the tropics as Imelda brings impacts to the Carolinas. 

Isolated showers Friday turns to widespread rain overnight. By early next week all attention turns to the tropics, where Imelda could impact the Carolinas. 

Scattered showers and storms today open the gateway to an unsettled pattern. Rain chances look to stay in place as all eyes turn to the tropics. 

Summer heat takes charge through Wednesday. By Thursday, a storm system approaches and brings plentiful rain chances. 

Summer-like weather will dominate the next couple of days with above average temperatures. By the middle of the coming week, rain chances significantly rise, and we cool back to slightly below average. 

After a seasonable Monday, rain chances rise on Tuesday before a big warm-up by weeks end. 

Two more days of warm and dry conditions. Unsettled weather tries to return Tuesday, but the details are still up in the air. 

The new week starts with fall-like weather before a gradual warming trend. No rain in sight across the area as high pressure dominates.
