Kvitova advanced with a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Lucie Safarova, and Bouchard knocked out third seed Simona Halep (HAL'-ehp) 7-6 (5), 6-2 to advance to her first Grand Slam final. Novak Djokovic (JOH-koh-vihch) and Roger Federer won their semifinal matches yesterday to reach tomorrow's men's final.
