Concern is rising for the potential for severe weather today. Areas east of 77 are under a moderate risk for severe weather (that’s a 4 on our 1-5 scale) A line of storms will slow down before reaching the WCCB Viewing Area beginning late morning to early afternoon. Embedded within this line will be very strong if not damaging straight line winds and even a few tornadoes. Heavy rain will also be a problem with flash flooding potential high for the mountains, foothills and urban areas. Storms will likely pass through the area completely near dinnertime this evening. Cooler for the weekend with highs only in the upper 50s for Saturday. Nice for Easter Sunday. Dry for the first half of the next week.
