Wednesday is shaping up to be the nicest day of the week. A northerly breeze will help bring in slightly drier air, and we'll see plenty of sunshine from start to finish. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, with lower humidity. It'll feel much more comfortable than what we're used to this time of year. Wednesday is definitely the day to take advantage of.

Two climbers were rescued Thursday afternoon, one of which fell approximately 100 feet. While the climber did survive, his current condition is unknown.
A small plane crashed into a neighborhood in dense fog and set a home on fire Wednesday near an airport in South Carolina’s capital city, authorities said. A woman inside the home apparently escaped injury from the crash, but there was no immediate word on the fate of people in the plane.
With temperatures dropping below freezing and fog likely developing overnight much of the WCCB area could see what is called Freezing Fog.
Mecklenburg County officials say additional resources are being put into place to expand emergency shelter operations for the homeless in response to the extreme weather forecasted overnight Thursday, January 7th.
Several schools in the WCCB viewing area will be closed, delayed, or going fully remote on Friday, January 8th due to the possibility of inclement weather.
