Tuesday is shaping up to feel much more like early summer around the Carolinas. We’ll wake up to plenty of sunshine and a warmer start to the day, with afternoon temperatures quickly climbing into the low 80s. It’ll also turn a bit breezy by the afternoon, with wind gusts around 25 mph at times as our next weather maker starts getting closer. Enjoy the dry weather while it lasts, because changes begin moving in late Tuesday night.

Significant severe weather threat tonight through Monday

The severe weather threat is continuing to build across our region late tonight into Monday. The primary threats are damaging winds and even a few tornadoes, especially for locations south of I-85 and along and east of the I-77 corridor.
