Tracking spotty storms through the day

By Wednesday morning, expect a soggy start to the day. Rain moves in early and sticks around through the late morning hours with periods of heavier downpours, gusty winds, and even a few rumbles of thunder possible. The second round comes in this afternoon with spotty widespread storms expected.Β  Temperatures will start mild in the mid to upper 60s and only climb into the upper 70s by the afternoon once the rain tapers off. As the system begins to shift out and before the cold front fully clears, there’s a small chance a few storms could briefly turn strong, mid afternoon into the evening.

Massive Storm Roars Into East Coast; Record Cold To Follow

A massive winter storm roared into the East Coast on Thursday, threatening to dump as much as 18 inches of snow from the Carolinas to Maine and unleashing hurricane-force winds and flooding that closed schools and offices and halted transportation systems.

Potential Impacts From Major Winter Storm

A massive winter system is leaving the east coast under snow and ice. The impacts from the initial wrath to our region may have been minimal, but strong wind and freezing conditions following behind this system will cause dangerous wind chills.
