A powerful tornado ripped through a mobile home park in south Georgia early Sunday, destroying half of its structures and killing seven people. Another four people died across the region amid severe weather.

Winter Storm warnings have been issued for early Saturday with freezing temperatures lasting through Monday.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation held a news conference Friday morning in reference to road preparations for the upcoming winter storm.
We are tracking a winter storm that will bring snow to the Charlotte area by the end of the week. That storm is out West right now and will make a nearly 2,600 mile journey across the country over the next 48 hours. Road crews will be out early Thursday treating local roads.
There is a possibility of winter weather this weekend in the Charlotte area.
It will be a cloudy and damp start to the week.
