Gov. Henry McMaster issued a State of Emergency Friday in support of the state's ongoing response efforts to the winter weather moving across South Carolina.
North Carolinaβs price gouging law is in effect after Governor Josh Stein declared a state of emergency because of the winter storm. It is unlawful for businesses or sellers to charge excessively high prices during a crisis.
