State Department of Transportation crews are urging people to stay off the roads Friday as the winter storm threatens to cover North Carolina and South Carolina roads in ice.
There's concern that ice from the winter storm will take down power lines across our area. Duke Energy is telling people to prepare for outages to last for days.
