Wilson’s World: Rocking the Ed for East Meck High

Wilson previews "Rock the Ed" being held this weekend at Amos' Southend.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – This Saturday, May 30th, Amos’ Southend will hold the “Rock the Ed Music Fest” to benefit the East Mecklenburg Foundation.Β  Wilson was with an auditorium full of students at East Mecklenburg High School talking about the event and enjoying some great music.Β  Musician Cameron Floyd offered a little preview of some of the entertainment that will be at the event.

The fest will feature 8 bands and run from 4pm until 11pm.Β  It is a family friendly event and also includes food trucks, local vendors and much more.Β  100% of the proceeds will go to the East Meck Foundation. CLTURE is partnering up with East Meck High to help with the event.

Just a few of the vendors that will be participating in the event include Repo Records, Dress Like a Girl and Daily Graphic Design.

CMS teachers can get in for free.Β  The doors open at 3pm with the music starting at 4pm.
