CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Climbing 325 feet in the air  and perched atop the new Fury 325, Wilson and General Manager, Mike Fehnel,  had a wonderful early morning view of the Charlotte skyline as well as the park.  The Fury 325 is the newest ride at Carowinds and is the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster.

The ride will take off on Carowinds’ opening day, but you could be one of the first to hop on the coaster for an inaugual ride on Wednesday, March 25th.   Carowinds is giving a chance for coaster lovers participate in an auction to bid on a seat, while giving back to the community.   Seats on the first 3 trains will be auctioned off with the proceeds from the auction going to the Cam Newton Foundation.  Bidding ends Sunday, March 15th at 11:50pm.  To find out more about the auction and to bid on a seat, click HERE.

But the Fury 325 is not only what’s new at Carowinds.  From expanded parking, a new entryway, to great new food at Harmony Hall Marketplace visitors will see a lot of new and exciting upgrades at the park this season.

On Saturday, March 28th Carowinds will open for the 2015 season with upgrades and great new rides at the park.   However, if you are a season pass holder, you can hit the park early on Friday, March 27th from 5-7pm for a special preview event.  Find out about the preview event, new rides, new food, ticket prices and everything Carowinds at their website carowinds.com.
