CHARLOTTE, NC – The official opening day for Carowinds 2015 season is not until Saturday,  but today is a big day for anyone who loves roller coasters!  It’s the debut of Carowinds‘ newest coaster Fury 325.   It is the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster and it is right here in the Carolinas!

Wilson met up with roller coaster enthusiasts  Elizabeth (from Virginia) and Josh (from Mississippi), who came all the way to Carowinds just to be one of the first lucky people to ride Fury 325.  And boy, did they enjoy it!

Rob Decker, the designer of Fury 325 joined Wilson to talk about the coaster and explained all of the coasters dips, turns and speeds and his ideas behind the ride.

But the Fury 325 is not the only new thing in the park.  Newly expanded parking as well as a new entryway (with lots of shiny new restrooms) and the upgraded Harmony Hall with a great new menu of food and beverage items.

Saturday, March 28th  is the official opening day for Carowinds 2015 season.   However, if you are a season pass holder, you can hit the park early on Friday, March 27th from 5-7pm for a special preview event.  Find out about the preview event, new rides, new food, ticket prices and everything Carowinds at their website carowinds.com.
